Written by notable Japanese playwright and film director, Koki Mitani, the historical drama series Sanada Maru dynamically and sometimes humorously portrays the life of the last great commander in Japan's Warring States period, Sanada Nobushige, well-known as Yukimura, and his clan, with a focus on the love of family.
In 16th century Japan, warlords battle to rule the country. But the small Sanada clan barely survives the turbulent times by the instinct and military tactics of the clan's leader, Sanada Masayuki. His sons, Nobushige and older brother Nobuyuki learn from watching their father. Both continue to care about their family, although they ultimately pledge allegiance to different lords.
Curious and adventure-loving, Nobushige survives the Warring States period, eventually becoming a legendary commander who even awed the ruler of Japan, Tokugawa Ieyasu.

"COLD CASE JAPAN" is the first localized version of the hit US series "Cold Case", originally produced by Jerry Bruckheimer.
Their version follows similar plot lines to the original US series, taking place in Yokohama rather than Philadelphia and starring Yoh Yoshida, in the role of Lily Rush, acted by Kathryn Morris in the original series.

The Kanagawa Prefectural First Criminal Investigation Div., under the direction of Acting Section Chief Hidehiko Motoki, Captain Yuri Ishikawa and team members Toru Kaneko and Daisuke Tachikawa were investigating a case in which a mother and daughter were thrown out of an apartment window in Tsurumi, Kanagawa.
